Did There is nothing
worse than living in an area
where you are practically
doomed to suffer from
allergies by simply walking
out the door. Coming from a Navy
family, I have been all
around the country,
including one of the best
areas for those who
experience pollen
allergies. Unfortunately,
we settled in one of the
worst and my allergy
treatment regimen soon
followed.
Fortunately, the Asthma and
Allergy Foundation of
America has
compiled a list of cities
known for high pollen counts
as well as those cities that
are considered low. So if
you suffer from seasonal
allergies, consider moving
to some of the better low
pollen cities such as Fort
Wayne IN, Boston MA, Detroit
MI, Lansing MI, Seattle WA,
Syracuse NY, Scranton PA,
Toledo OH, Grand Rapids MI,
Miami FL or Des Moines, IA.
But what are the worst top
ten cities for seasonal
allergies? They are as
follows:
10. San Diego, CA
9. Little
Rock, AK
8. New Orleans,
MS
7. Birmingham,
AL
6. Knoxville, TN
5. Jackson, MS
4. Augusta, GA
3. Johnson City,
TN
2. Greensboro,
NC
1. Lexington, KY
Results were based on
pollen count, number of
specialists per patient and
number of patients being
treated for allergies.
