Who can Resist Play-Doh?  Those who have an allergy to wheat or gluten, that’s who!   Hasbro, the manufacturer of Play-Doh, has stated that they cannot release the ingredient list for their product.  However, those who are allergic to wheat or gluten should not use Play-Doh.

Cooking without wheat can be a challenge.  Try these wheat substitutions the next time you bake.  For each cup of wheat flour, try one of the following:

• One Cup Corn Flour
• 5/8 Cup Potato Starch Flour
• 7/8 Cup Rice Flour
• 1 Cup Soy Flour Plus 1/4 Cup Potato Starch Flour

Grains that are related to wheat include barley, kamut, millet, oats, rice, rye, spelt and teff.
